Power Logistics secured a contract with leading event overlay specialist GL events to supply and install multiple lighting solutions within their temporary structures at Cheltenham Racecourse. GL events delivers over more than 25,000 sqm of tentage for the Cheltenham Festival alone so its lighting requirements are extensive.
Lighting solutions are supplied according to the use of the temporary structure i.e. drum lights in a variety of colours and sizes are installed in hospitality and bar areas, whilst lowbay lighting is perfect for staff areas and fluorescents are more suitable for kitchen areas.
The quantities of lighting supplied and installed by Power Logistics’ expert team of electricians is impressive:
- 1000+ flourescents
- 70 drum lights
- 130+ LED fire exit signs
- 200+ globe lights
- 50+ lowbay lights
- 30 LED colourwash lights
The contract includes the eight race meetings held at Cheltenham Racecourse each year including the Festival, November meeting and racing on New Year’s Day. GL events’ requirements vary from race to race depending on the size of the meet and the number of temporary structures in situ.
