About Us

We stock an extensive range of temporary event power equipment. All equipment is manufactured and maintained to the highest industry standards and available to hire from our distribution centres in the UK, Ireland and Mainland Europe. Our stocks include generators, battery storage, solar, transformers, cable, distribution, lighting, cable ramps.

Power Logistics is a global leader in the provision of temporary event power. Our customer focused service and well respected track record spans three decades. We consistently deliver practical expertise in project management, consultancy, power auditing and deployment of stage power, site electrics, distribution and lighting at concerts, festivals, exhibitions, conferences, parties, award ceremonies and sporting events.

Power Logistics’ team of skilled designers, engineers and wider support network deliver complete engineered solutions. Working with high quality, value engineered materials and processes to ensure that our clients’ requirements and budget can be met. From initial concept, through design, delivery and post contract support.

SUSTAINABILITY

Recognising the inherent environmental challenges of temporary power, we prioritise energy efficiency across our operations.

We have led the pack when it comes to innovating sustainable power solutions. We were amongst the first companies in events to introduce power monitoring in 2014. Whilst the use of HVO on outdoor event sites it now commonplace, we were the first company to fully power a major event with it. This was BST Hyde Park in 2019.

We’re continuously evolving our sustainable practices, moving away from traditional generator-heavy setups to more centralised power networks. the last two years we have implemented hybrid energy farms, using battery technologies instead of conventional generators at high-profile events like D-Day 80, Coronation, Radio 1’s Big Weekend, BST Hyde Park, and Boomtown.

Innovation and investment into renewable energy solutions continues and this year we’ve been deploying methanol fuelled, hydrogen fuel cells.

POWER MONITORING & AUDITING

Effective power monitoring and auditing are essential for understanding the energy usage across all areas of an event site. All analysis, data and reports can be tailored specifically for your event and objectives.

BATTERY STORAGE

Many event applications can now benefit from battery storage technology. There are several options for implementing the use of a battery and in the correct circumstances it can lead to significant fuel savings.

ALTERNATIVE POWER GENERATION

Solar and Hydrogen are green energy fuel alternatives. We’ve developed rapid-deploy, scalable solar solutions. We're using hydrogen fuel cells for zero-emission power. While hydrogen storage requires care, these innovations offer reliable green energy alternatives.

OUR GREEN CREDENTIALS

Our sustainable solutions are constantly evolving as technology advances and our own knowledge and understanding expands. The way we are now designing and installing our temporary power systems should be the new normal.

TESTIMONIALS

“One of the core principles of Extreme E is to promote a net zero carbon event and sustainable energy solutions. Power Logistic are perfectly aligned with Extreme E’ ambition to achieve this. Implementation of Battery storage systems, solar panels and integration of the Enowa hydrogen fuel cell system into the event power requirements have all been made possible with their event experience and desire to look forward at future event solutions. Power Logistics manage all our electrical infrastructure, liaise with local suppliers where necessary, including a national grid, and support all the installation and management of our event power.”

Andy Welch, Utilities Manager, Extreme E

“We’ve worked with Power Logistics on several events for the BBC now, including the Coronation Concert. There’s a perception that running a sustainable event costs more but, in some cases, you can save money. We know for a fact that by not buying diesel for that event that we saved £37,000, never mind the carbon footprint. This time around they were able to install batteries which meant we weren’t reliant on generator power and hardly used any HVO. 832Kwh of battery energy storage was deployed during the course of the event with all backstage utilities powered by battery for five weeks.”

Steve Nolan, Event Production Director, D-Day 80

“The great thing about the team at Power Logistics is that they combine their excellent electrical knowledge and expertise with a can-do approach, taking any surprises that may occur in their stride. The Coronation was no exception; the prestigious nature of the event, the large number of stakeholders, 30 plus locations in and around central London didn’t faze the team working with Identity. Power Logistics was heavily involved with the Identity team in pre-planning, which was key operationally and helped ensure sustainable solutions were embedded in the overall electrical plan. The innovative use of battery energy storage systems and other sustainable initiatives reduced fuel consumption considerably and carbon emissions. We’re now working together to analyse all the data to determine by exactly how much.”

David Naylor, Senior Production Manager, Identity

“A highly organised and well-skilled company who deliver on time and on budget!

Power Logistics are my go-to event supplier for temporary power, and I wouldn’t look anywhere else! They have extremely experienced Project Managers who follow the job from pricing to onsite, ensuring continuity and that nothing is missed. They are forward thinking and always suggest ways to improve efficiency and sustainability at our festivals. All their staff are great to work with and a key part of our Camp Bestival family!”

Vicki Smith, APL Event Ltd – Project Manager for Camp Bestival Dorset & Shropshire

“Based on its reputation, green credentials and the initial proposal put forward, we were convinced that Power Logistics was the right temporary power supplier for the G7. Once onsite, the entire team was brilliant and took a collaborative and hands on approach to delivering sustainable and resilient solutions. They were forthcoming ideas for reducing our carbon footprint and there was a real focus on data outlining where efficiencies were being delivered which was really refreshing.

The event was intended to be carbon neutral from the outset, and any footprint left at the end of the project was offset by the client. By using more sustainable fuels and technology we were able to decrease that offset requirement, thanks to the technology and expertise provided by Power Logistics.”

Tom Evans, Technical Production Director, Identity

“An honour working alongside Power Logistics on “Massive Attack//Act1.5” Festival in Bristol.

Galvanising a team of rivals, tearing up the “Business As Usual” rule book on how to power a festival,

proving to be once again pioneers in providing power solutions to the brief of “No Fossil Fuels Included!”
