Rio Olympics Ceremonies 2016

Power Logistics delivered secondary power services for the Rio 2016 Olympics Ceremonies. An experienced project manager and three electricians were onsite for the duration of the project (June – September 2016), this included the build, extensive rehearsals, the ceremonies themselves and the de-rig.  We worked closely with the production team at planning stage and on site supporting all departments incl.  lighting, rigging, projection, screens, automation, sound, set design etc., supplying all cabling, distribution equipment and transformers to ensure that all their secondary electrical requirements were met and that the primary power was delivered to them in a usable format.

In addition, we provided working light throughout the stadium and set pieces, including external and peripheral areas, where the ceremonies were held. Our kit was adapted to meet the requirements onsite. We also carried out independent electrical testing to all primary power supplies at the request of the production team.
