Project Description

Power Logistics was on hand to provide temporary power to Live Nation, organiser of Kasabian’s homecoming concerts held at Leicester’s King Power Stadium. Forming part of Leicester City Football Club’s amazing win of the Premiership, the local boys performed to sell-out crowds on both 28th and 29th May 2016.

Power Logistics’ experienced team provided a full project management and consultancy service, fulfilling all the concert’s power requirements. This included the provision of four 500 kVA generators, generators synchronised against power failure and an extensive range of cabling and distribution and a 250 kVA standalone generator supplied for the catering concessions. Both ensured uninterrupted power across the stadium.

In addition, Power Logistics provided cabling and distribution throughout the venue along with tower lights allowing for the safe egress of tens of thousands of concert goers.

Dave Oxley, general operations manager for Power Logistics said: “Power Logistics has a great history of supporting Kasabian with gigs in their home town, so it was great to get the call again this time around. It is always interesting to bring temporary power into a permanent stadium and myself and the rest of the team really enjoyed being involved in the project.”
