Temporary event power provider Power Logistics further cemented its position as a leader in sustainable solutions when it received the award for Best Use of Technology at an Event and a highly commended in the Green Supplier category at the Event Production Awards 2020. Held at the London Novotel West on Thursday 5th March, the awards, now in their ninth year, recognise excellence in the production and delivery of outdoor and live events.
Its Best Use of Technology at an Event submission detailed the deployment of the company’s bespoke power monitoring system and LED technologies at Radio 1’s Big Weekend to assist the event in delivering on its sustainability objectives. Event Production Awards’ judging panel was impressed with the use of its bespoke power monitoring system, designed in-house by Power Logistics’ research & development team, it utilises QR codes included on every generator, fuel tank and fuel bowser. The judges said: “Power Logistics is a proven supplier used by the best in the industry. This sustainability initiative ticks every box. Their power management, which is so vital on a festival is really impressive.”
Power Logistics also secured a highly commended in the Green Supplier category.
Commenting on the company’s haul of awards in 2020 at both the Event Production Awards and Festival Supplier Awards, managing director, Mike Whitehouse said: “Receiving three accolades at the Festival Supplier Awards was fantastic and the entire team at Power Logistics was thrilled.
