Event power and lighting specialist Power Logistics will be highlighting its green credentials at this year’s Showman’s Show, held at Newbury Showground from 19th – 20th October. Delivering energy efficiencies is at the forefront of everything that Power Logistics does as it continuously seeks new methods to make the events it supports as carbon efficient as possible. The exhibition stand will be a showcase for the numerous sustainable solutions that Power Logistics offers and senior members of its team will be on-hand to discuss what the company is doing to reduce its impact on the environment.
Products and services that visitors can expect to see on the stand will include: generator sets running on an environmentally friendly, alternative fuel; solar powered fuel bowsers; LED tower lights; an in-house developed combined heating and power system and a selection of the company’s brand new LED lights. In addition, its telemetry equipment will be in operation throughout, allowing festival and event organisers to see for themselves how power usage can be monitored both remotely and onsite to access real-time information about power consumption and fuel usage.
Power Logistics’ experienced team will also be using the opportunity to tell visitors to the Showman’s Show about the methods that they regularly deploy to keep their impact on the environment to a minimum. These include everything from in-house initiatives such as rainwater harvesting for cleaning equipment, installation of sensor lighting, working towards a paperless office and using public transport wherever possible, to the provision of power management solutions that reduce fuels bills and save energy and working closely with supply partners to ensure minimal delivery journeys and maximum vehicle utilisation.
The company has a thriving apprenticeship scheme that has seen six individuals rise through the ranks to become full time employees, several of which will be on the stand. Its green credentials were recently acknowledged at the Bath Chronicle Business Awards it was shortlisted in the ‘Environmental Business of the Year’ category.
