OUR GREEN CREDENTIALS

We are committed to leading the way in the provision of sustainable temporary power and constantly explore innovative solutions. We were one of the first companies to introduce power monitoring back in 2014, we trialled HVO in standard generator sets back in 2016 and were the first company to power a major event solely with the sustainable fuel back in 2019 at BST Hyde Park. In the same year we introduced battery power for the second stage, another industry first. That, coupled with extensive power monitoring resulted in a 25% reduction in fuel.

More recently we have been working with several battery providers to explore their use at events, including Zenobe (they supply second life batteries, adding to its sustainable credentials), Greener and Power Saving Solutions. We have implemented hybridised energy farms at the Coronation, Extreme E Motorsport Series, Radio 1’s Big Weekend, BST Hyde Park and Boomtown.

Internally, we meticulously plan our logistics to reduce transport requirements, whether that’s optimising loads or utilising back runs from other events to keep transport costs and fuel emissions to a minimum. We work carefully with our supply partners to ensure minimal delivery journeys and maximum vehicle utilisation, carefully calculating transport and logistics plans and fuel consumption. Within our offices we harvest rainwater to run our pressure washers using an inventive new design from our team of engineers. We use biodegradable detergents. We’ve reduced our mains water usage by changing to on demand urinal flushing systems and our offices use motion sensor lighting reducing un-necessary use of energy.
