Power Logistics sign up to RHS’ Greening Grey Britain campaign

Power Logistics has signed up to the Royal Horticultural Society’s Greening Grey Britain campaign and has created a garden at their head office in Chippenham, Wiltshire. The space includes flowers and vegetables and all members of staff are being encouraged to get involved; from bringing in spare plants from home or just enjoying the surroundings during their lunch break.

The Greening Grey Britain campaign aims to encourage individuals, organisations and local authorities to take positive action to increase the amount of plants and planting in urban areas, and to highlight the role of gardens in horticulture in doing this. In addition, the Greening Grey Britain campaign places horticulture at the centre of policy debate at local and central level about how to confront and address the two major challenges of our time: climate-change and rapidly increasing urbanization.

Power Logistics’ managing director, Mike Whitehouse said: “Here at Power Logistics we are committed to being a sustainable business, our long term aim is to become carbon neutral and this is a great initiative that the whole team can get involved with.”
