Salary From – £19,500*
Location – Draycot Park Farm, Chippenham SN15 5LH and project sites which can include sites outside
of the UK.

Power Logistics has a rare and exciting opportunity for a Trainee Temporary Event Power Electrician to
join its Operations team responsible for delivering temporary power to a portfolio of projects that have
included the Olympic and Commonwealth Games Ceremonies, Extreme E races, BST Hyde Park,
Platinum Jubilee and many other of the UK’s largest festivals and sporting events.

About the role

We’re looking for Trainee Temporary Event Power Electrician to join our busy team. This is a new
initiative at Power Logistics. The training scheme will initially span 3 years and be made up of practical
training at our premises and project sites, along with classroom training at Power Logistics’ sites and
training providers’ facilities. Once completed, you will play a key part in working with us to deliver our
services as an Temporary Event Power Electrician.

By the very nature of the events and entertainment this position is in a fast-paced environment with the
majority of projects revolving around weekends and evenings. We work across the UK and worldwide
and as this role is primarily field-based it will involve spending extended periods of time away from our
headquarters. You will have access to company pool vehicles for work purposes. All expenses will be
covered whilst away from home. Starting salary of £19,500* per annum with annual increments up to
£35,000+ upon successful completion.

Your main responsibilities will include

Working with our in-house Operations and Engineering teams the role will involve the following:

Health & Safety practices on event sites, risk assessments and method statements

Manual handling of Power Logistics’ equipment

Packaging and preparing of cable, distribution and plant equipment

Repairing and maintenance of electrical cabling and distribution equipment

Installation of cabling and distribution systems on event sites

Positioning and siting of generators and associated plant

Generator operation

Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) operation

Installation of Power Logistics bespoke monitoring equipment

Practical site lighting installation

Over the period of the scheme, it is also expected for the following courses to be achieved:

Plant licences incl. Telescopic Load Handler and Forklift Trucks

IPAF Licences

JET – 2377 (‘PAT’ testing) In-service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment (ISITEE)

City & Guilds Assured Programme in The Application of BS7909 to Temporary Power Sytems

City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations

First Aid at Work
