Power Logistics has provided distribution and electrical equipment to Event Tech Live, a conference and exhibition for the event technology sector, since its inception in 2014. The event has gone from strength to strength, expanding to a two day event in 2018 and the 2019 edition filling halls T1-T5 of the Old Truman Brewery.

Utilising the in-house power at the venue Power Logistics supports organiser A.M.P. Events with all power requirements for the 100 + exhibitors and numerous stages and feature areas. This involves dropping power supplies from the ceiling and installing sockets to banks of exhibition stands, providing additional sockets where required, along with several ceeform connections to power large LED screens. Given the scale of the event and location of some of the stages and their AV requirements Due to the location of some of the stages and their extensive production requirements, the Power Logistics team had to ensure that they calculated and distributed the house power accordingly.

For the first time in 2019, we also delivered power monitoring to the event, looking specifically at the 63amp power supply that supports a third of the main exhibition space. Given the nature of the event, it was interesting to deploy our own technology to collect data about its power usage.

Not only do our experienced team install the equipment and carry out the appropriate electrical testing but they remain on standby to monitor the power during the show’s open days.

The Power Logistics team delivered on all fronts – excellent service, great understanding of our needs and seamless delivery. They are a pleasure to work with, nothing was too much trouble.
